Associate Director Corporate Functions - Risk and Audit

A leading Investment Banking firm is hiring in their credit risk commodities team in Singapore. This role is pivotal for the metal desk to conduct in-depth credit reviews and analyze commodities and global market counterparties in the Asia region, with a focus on Chinese corporate clients.

My client is open to candidates looking to relocate to Singapore.

Key responsibilities

  • Secure credit approvals in line with the bank’s credit risk appetite
  • Evaluate new products and transactions
  • Provide well-founded recommendations to credit approvers
  • Assist in structuring transactions, reviewing legal terms, and offering general advice and analysis
  • Perform annual and new reviews of counterparties
  • Stay updated on portfolio developments and address ad-hoc credit requests
  • Maintain a strong track record in credit risk commodities in physical trading supporting metal trading (commodities house or bank)
  • Expertise in preparing counterparty credit reviews, credit recommendations, and negotiating credit terms within ISDA and CSA documentation
  • Experience operating within the Chinese commodities markets and covering a portfolio of Chinese counterparties in hard commodities markets
  • Experience in transactional analysis and approvals of physical commodity transactions and OTC derivatives, focusing on metals / hard commodities markets
