Job Objective:

Supports management with product sales and acquisition, store maintenance and appearance, customer development and retention, and banking and record-keeping procedures.

Essential Functions:

1. Cash Handling and Customer Service:
   • Proficiently uses cash register and assists others with basic register problems.
   • Implements store opening and closing procedures.
   • Supports banking and reporting procedures, including cash handling, bank runs, and deposits.
   • Provides excellent customer service and handles customer complaints appropriately.
2. Product Acquisition and Sales:
   • Supports strategies to meet product acquisition, production, and sales goals.
   • Knows the product rotation process and ensures proper turnover.
   • Communicates with the warehouse to place orders.
3. Store Maintenance and Appearance:
   • Follows procedures for maintenance and safety concerns.
   • Ensures displays and floor layouts are followed and updated.
   • Looks for ways to improve store appearance and appeal.
4. Resource Protection:
   • Implements procedures to prevent theft and spoilage.
   • Controls waste of property, utilities, and supplies.
5. Communication and Reporting:
   • Communicates with management about store operations and incidents.
   • Supports policies and procedures understanding and enforcement.
6. Other Duties: Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
