Job summary

Curaleaf Wellington is seeking a Lead Store Associate to guide a high-performing retail team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will act as a brand ambassador, train teammates, manage daily operations, and ensure compliance in a fast-paced cannabis retail setting in Wellington, FL.

The role requires leadership, strong customer service, POS proficiency, and an attention to detail in cash handling and inventory management.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in a customer-facing or sales environment.
• 1 year of experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
• 6 months of leadership experience in a retail environment.
• 6 months of hands-on experience in retail store operations, including opening/closing procedures and cash drawer reconciliation.
• Curaleaf team members need at least 6 months of experience as a Store Associate with consistent performance.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills; ability to coach and motivate others.
• Familiarity with SOPs, safety protocols, and loss prevention practices.
• Strong attention to detail in cash handling and inventory management.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a high-volume, compliance-driven setting.
• Availability for flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and some overnights.
• Multitasking and quick task switching.

Responsibilities

• Drive consultative selling with open-ended questions, active listening, and product education.
• Guide guests to enroll in the rewards program and capture customer insights.

• Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative workplace with strong teamwork at checkout.
• Execute opening and closing duties, daily huddles, and cash reconciliation.
• Verify IDs and maintain accurate POS profiles.
• Ensure inventory integrity through precise transactions and order fulfillment.
• Lead inventory counts and participate in overnight audits.
• Keep store clean, organized, and guest-ready.
• Uphold SOPs, safety protocols, and state regulations.
• Achieve daily KPIs through upselling and consultative selling.
• Reinforce purchase decisions and highlight complementary products.
• Stay informed on promotions and product updates for a seamless shopping experience.
