Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate in Iowa to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating merchandise, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and help maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting assets.

In this lead role you will greet customers, supervise in absence of Store Manager, drive planogram compliance, manage stocking, cleaning, and open/close duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read planograms and merchandise guides.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic math and cash handling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases; collect payment and make change.
• Stock merchandise; restock and rotate on shelves; build displays per planograms.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Sales Associate in the Managerial absence.
