Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a reliable Cashier/Stocker lead in a store setting. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, assist customers, and operate the register to complete sales while maintaining display standards.

In the absence of management, you may authorize refunds and manage cashier accountability. A high school diploma or equivalent and some supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store procedures.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise and rotate on shelves; build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of store areas.
• Operate cash register and process payments; bag merchandise.
