Job summary

Four Seasons Lanai invites applications for a Lead Steward role at Sensei Lana'i, a Four Seasons Resort. You will lead, train, coach, and evaluate the Stewarding team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while upholding high safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Legal work authorization in the United States.
• Hawaii Driver’s License and driving record required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, coach, and evaluate Stewarding team members, ensuring adherence to service, safety, sanitation, and company standards while fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Supervise daily stewarding operations, including dishwashing, sanitation, waste management, and cleaning schedules to maintain efficient kitchen support and operational readiness
• Clean and sanitize china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring proper handling, storage, and maintenance of all service ware
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout kitchens, production areas, walk-ins, coolers, drains, floors, walls, and stewarding equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
• Oversee stewarding carts, waste disposal processes, and overall organization of back-of-house areas to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
• Ensure the proper use, storage, labeling, and handling of cleaning chemicals and materials in compliance with safety regulations and MSDS requirements
• Conduct pre-shift meetings, recognize team performance, and maintain a visible leadership presence to promote communication, teamwork, and operational excellence

LEAD STEWARD

Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort, is looking for a Lead Steward who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead, train, coach, and evaluate Stewarding team members, ensuring adherence to service, safety, sanitation, and company standards while fostering a positive and productive work environment

WHAT TO BRING

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
• The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty‑four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required.
• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
• Hawaii Driver’s License and Abstract is required for this role
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
