Lead Steward – Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort
Lead Steward supervises and participates in stewarding operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization are maintained throughout kitchen and food service areas.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, train, coach, and evaluate Stewarding team members, ensuring adherence to service, safety, sanitation, and company standards while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Supervise daily stewarding operations, including dishwashing, sanitation, waste management, and cleaning schedules to maintain efficient kitchen support and operational readiness.
- Clean and sanitize china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring proper handling, storage, and maintenance of all service ware.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout kitchens, production areas, walk‑ins, coolers, drains, floors, walls, and stewarding equipment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Oversee stewarding carts, waste disposal processes, and overall organization of back‑of‑house areas to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
- Ensure the proper use, storage, labeling, and handling of cleaning chemicals and materials in compliance with safety regulations and MSDS requirements.
- Conduct pre‑shift meetings, recognize team performance, and maintain a visible leadership presence to promote communication, teamwork, and operational excellence.
What To Bring
- Legal work authorization in the United States.
- Availability to work the hospitality business schedule: seven days a week, 24 hours a day, with holidays and weekends.
- Hawaii State Department of Health Tuberculous (TB) clearance card.
- Hawaii Driver’s License and Abstract.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts.
