Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital is seeking a Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician to clean, decontaminate, assemble, and disinfect reusable medical instrumentation. Position supports OR coordination, stocking, and daily surgical scheduling.

Shift is full-time, second shift from 3pm to 11:30pm after orientation, with a $5,000 commitment bonus for eligible technicians paid in two installments over 12 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Employees hired before 2/18/19 are not required to have high school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required beyond certification.
• Certification required as CSPDT (CBSPD) or CRCST (HSPA).

Responsibilities

• Cleans, decontaminates, assembles, and disinfects scope trays and equipment per tray lists and manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintains communication with customers and departments regarding requests and delivery of sterile supplies.
• Promotes best practice by committing to quality patient care.
• Performs duties to keep the unit survey-ready and supports quality initiatives.
• Uses the instrument tracking system for instrument counts and handling instructions.
