University of California- Davis Health in Sacramento is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician III - Team Lead to lead as a primary working resource in the Sterile Processing Department supporting the Operating Room.

You will focus on cleaning, disinfecting, inspecting, sterilizing and assembling surgical instruments and equipment, and also disinfect/reassemble patient care equipment. This is a full-time, on-site, Monday–Friday role with a 2:30 PM–11:00 PM shift.

Formación

• Five (5) years recent experience in sterile processing
• CRCST from HSPA or CSPDT from CBSPD
• Advanced certification within 6 months (CIS/CSIS/CER/CFER/CHL/CSPM)
• Maintain certifications with CEUs
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of AAMI practices
• Knowledge of AORN practices
• Strong attention to detail
• Independent critical thinking
• Experience with instrument tracking software and basic IT tools
• Ability to apply policy and procedures
• Ability to analyze and report problems
• Ability to escalate unusual situations
• Ability to plan and organize workflow to meet turnaround times
• Ability to prioritize work to deadlines
• Ability to develop creative solutions

• Lead team and coordinate resources for Sterile Processing
• Oversee decontamination processes
• Assemble sterilized instruments
• Sterilize equipment and instruments
• Assemble surgical case carts
• Maintain instrument tracking system and participate in training
