Sterile Processing Tech II at the Main Campus Jackson is responsible for inspecting, assembling, packaging and sterilizing instrument sets and trays for the OR and hospital departments.

The role requires high school diploma or GED with 1 year of sterile processing or surgical technology experience, and certification options (CBSPD, IAHCSMM, NBSTSA) as listed. This is a full-time, hourly position with potential for precepting newer staff.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year sterile processing or surgical tech experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Preceptor skills and experience mentoring staff.
• Certifications listed: CSPDT, CSIS, CFER, CSPM, CRCST, CIS, CER, CHL, CST.

Responsabilidades

• Insures cleaning, decontamination, sterilization and preparation of instruments.
• Operates sterilizers and maintains quality/safety controls documentation.
• Maintains records and inventory of clean and sterilized instruments.
• Follows infection control policies and regulatory requirements.
• May precept and mentor new employees.
• Supports interaction between SPD and OR.
