Job summary

Clayco, based in St. Louis, MO, seeks a Structural Steel Estimator, Steel Procurement with 5+ years of experience to deliver accurate bid proposals and scope analyses for complex projects.

You will develop quantity take-offs, prepare detailed proposals, and manage budgets with P&L accountability, while identifying change orders and overseeing procurement activities. Strong communication and drawing interpretation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in construction management or engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings and specs.
• Experience with estimating, cost control, and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate material quantity take-offs.
• Develop detailed project proposals and budgets.
• Maintain project budgets with profit and loss accountability.
• Identify change orders and cost impacts.
• Lead estimator responsibilities and coordinate with Project Manager.
