Job summary

The Structures Group Southwest Inc is seeking a Steel Fabrication Foreman for a dynamic construction team in Phoenix, AZ. You will lead the shop floor, coordinate with fabricators, and ensure accurate layout, fit-up, and welding according to approved drawings.

You’ll operate steel fabrication machinery, supervise shop staff, manage steel inventory, and contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Structural steel fabrication experience is required.
• Ability to read steel shop drawings is required.
• Experience with layout and welding on steel structures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Layout, Fit-up, and Welding, as per approved shop drawings.
• Operation of steel fab machinery.
• Ability to delegate and ensure the completion of work given to shop staff.
• Assist with unloading and receiving of steel, and supplies for steel fabrication shop.
• Responsible for steel inventory and the organization of the shop storage room and its contents.
• Structural Steel Layout experience a must!
