Job summary

101 ARB, Inc is seeking a Steel Estimator to lead structural steel estimates for complex industrial and EPC projects in Irvine, CA. You will manage all bid steps from job walks to final proposals, coordinating with engineering and field teams to drive successful execution.

Ideal candidates have 10 years of experience in industrial construction estimating, proficiency with estimating software, MS Word and Excel, and strong communication skills. PEMB and TI experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in industrial construction estimating.
• Proficiency with estimating software, MS Word, and Excel.
• Strong quantity take‑off skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with miscellaneous metals and PEMB.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of EPC processes and bidding.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.
• Ability to transition from estimating to the field team after successful bids to ensure continuity.

Responsibilities

• Attend job walks to gather information for estimates.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and develop detailed proposals.
• Handle miscellaneous metals estimation.
• Estimate for PEMB including TI work.
• Participate in post‑bid discussions to finalize bid prices.
• Engage in post‑bid value engineering to optimize project costs and scope.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate estimates.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
• Present cost estimates to clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with EPC project teams to align with project goals.
• Develop and manage structural and miscellaneous steel estimates for EPC projects and small scale industrial projects.
• Transition from estimating to the field team after successful bids to ensure continuity and success.
