Vicinity Energy in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Stationary Engineer to safely operate boilers and chilled water systems for multiple buildings. The role includes watch duties as Control Operator or Lead Operator, with a focus on reliability, environmental compliance, and accurate recordkeeping.

Report to the Operations Manager in a full-time, on-site capacity. The position offers an hourly wage of $51.44 plus a 10% bonus target, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for seasonal

Qualifications

• Maryland First Class Stationary Engineer's License
• Minimum five years of experience operating stationary or marine boilers
• EPA-CFC Technician Certification – Universal or Type II and Type III minimum
• Knowledge of water management quality, outfall controls, fuel systems, asbestos controls, and metering regulations

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe working conditions and identify or report unsafe conditions
• Perform duties per Company operating and safety policies
• Oversee watch as Lead Control Operator, Control Operator, or Auxiliary Operator
• Control and monitor steam and chilled water systems including boilers and distribution
• Take action to reduce effects of equipment failures
• Recognize and report equipment and system anomalies
• Oversee water quality, fuel transfer, and storage at the plant
• Write work orders for equipment repair and maintain logs
• Ensure environmental regulations and proper plant outfall operation
• May be assigned to other facilities seasonally
