Job summary

Butler County Water & Sewer is seeking a Staff Engineer to oversee construction activities for water and wastewater projects and coordinate with state and local agencies. You will review plans and specifications, manage project records, and assist in budgeting and policy development.

The role requires design and planning involvement, proficiency with GIS and modeling tools, and supervision of staff, with PE preferred and a focus on delivering compliant, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; PE preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of water resources engineering experience.
• Experience with GIS and water/wastewater modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and management of construction activities for water and wastewater projects; review plans and specifications; coordinate with agencies.
• Participate in design and planning of facilities; prepare drawings, specs, and contract documents; develop and maintain models for analysis.
