Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Corrections, Division of Administration is seeking a Database Specialist in Concord. The role focuses on directing and coordinating SQL database design, development, security, and maintenance for Inmate Services and agency staff applications.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 10 years of education and experience after high school.
• At least 3 years in systems analysis for late generation medium/large online systems or networks.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and performs creation and modification of programs, interfaces, and documentation for Inmate Services-related applications.
• Develops and maintains data marts, cubes, views and complex queries for operations and analysis.
• Audits data management adherence, validates access and identifies data anomalies.
• Directs database plans and system solutions for functionality, capacity and performance.
• Develops and administers data security and backup/recovery procedures.
• Defines and modifies software/hardware systems, integrating new systems with existing databases.
• Researches new data solutions and interfaces with internal/external customers for data needs.
• Implements access monitors and security alerts; provides logs for investigations.
• Assesses hardware/software utilization for capacity planning and future needs.
