Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks a Manager of Spiritual Care to provide leadership and regional oversight of spiritual care services for patients, families, and staff. The role develops a high‑performing team of chaplains and ensures compassionate, patient‑centered care.

With a master’s degree and board certification, the manager will collaborate with clinical leaders to promote holistic well‑being, ensure compliance with standards, and support end‑of‑life

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in ministry, Divinity, or Theology from a recognized seminary, divinity school or college of Theology.
  • Two years of spiritual care experience with positive patient outcomes through spiritual assessment and support.
  • Board Certified by APC, AJC or NACC.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and regional oversight of spiritual care services for patients, families, and staff.
  • Develop and support a high‑performing team of chaplains and spiritual care professionals.
  • Oversee departmental operations, staff development, and service integration within the interdisciplinary care model.
  • Promote awareness of spiritual care and ensure compliance with clinical, ethical, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
