Job summary

Pinnacle Health & Rehab is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to lead and direct speech therapy services within a skilled nursing facility in Maine. You will assess residents, develop care plans, ensure quality of care, and supervise therapy staff while maintaining compliance with federal and state standards.

The role requires strong communication, clinical expertise, and dedication to patient dignity and safety. Long-term care experience preferred; graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with active license in the state.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Graduates accepted for supervision or entry-level roles.
• Registered and current SLP license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct Speech therapy services.
• Assess patients appropriate to the age of the patient.
• Maintain documentation, department records and HIPAA compliance.
• Ensure effective communication regarding ST programs and discharge planning.
• Contribute to patient care and rehabilitation team management.
• Complete evaluations in a timely manner and maintain continuing education credits.
