Job summary

Encinitas Post Acute is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide and direct quality patient care including evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation in accordance with guidelines.

You will supervise assistants and students, adhere to safety procedures, and pursue ongoing clinical and professional development while communicating patient needs to families and care teams. Strong knowledge of Medicare payor sources is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved curriculum in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active license as Speech-Language Pathologist in good standing.
• CPR Certification as required for license renewal.
• Experience in long-term care preferred with 1 year work experience.
• Knowledge of Medicare and other payor sources.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises the work of assistants and students per State and Federal guidelines.
• Follows all safety procedures regarding personal protection and patient safety.
• Expands clinical and professional knowledge through continuing education.
• Inputs patient information into EMR and rehab systems.
• Supports department operations and development.
• Communicates patient status and needs to patients, families, caregivers, and care teams.
