Job summary

LEO Pharma is seeking an Associate Director, Specialty Pharmacy & Trade Relations to lead specialty pharmacy, patient affordability, and trade strategies for a rare disease brand in launch preparation.

You will build the capabilities, processes, and partnerships needed to support a successful commercial launch, oversee the specialty pharmacy network and copay program, and translate brand strategy into operational solutions that enhance launch readiness and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 7–10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, specialty pharmacy, or related healthcare experience.
• 5+ years of experience supporting specialty, rare disease, or highly specialized therapies.
• Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy operations and network models.
• Experience developing or managing commercial copay/patient affordability programs.
• Experience in a rare disease or highly specialized therapies is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated pharmaceutical launch or launch-readiness experience.
• Experience building programs, processes, or capabilities from the ground up.
• Experience managing external vendors and strategic partners.
• Ability to travel overnight 20%.

Responsibilities

• Lead SP & Trade for the rare disease brand and own its distribution strategy.
• Build specialty pharmacy and copay infrastructure to support launch readiness.
• Oversee vendor implementation, testing, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design end-to-end patient journeys from prescription to fulfillment.
• Manage relationships with specialty pharmacy partners and distribution networks.
• Establish KPIs and reporting for channel performance and access barriers.
• Drive cross-functional alignment on decisions affecting patient and product journeys.
