Help shape the market access strategy for a new rare disease product, driving payer engagement, reimbursement success, and access for patients who need it most.

Your Role:

The Director, Payer Marketing will be responsible for serving as a strategic partner in leading the development and implementation of strategies and tactics that support Market Access strategies for the launch of Daylight, a specialty rare disease product, managed primarily through the pharmacy benefit. The Director will translate clinical, economic, and market insights into differentiated value propositions, payer/account engagement strategies, and tools that support market access and appropriate patient access. The individual will be responsible for constructing the Market Access Value Platform and support materials to ensure product differentiation and formulary positioning.

This is a hybrid role based out of LEO’s Madison, NJ office.

Your Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the payer marketing strategy for a new rare specialty product launch.

Lead the development of payer value propositions, pricing, positioning, messaging, and communication materials for commercial and government payers and accounts.

Translate clinical evidence, health outcomes data, burden-of-illness research, and economic information into compelling payer/account-facing materials.

Develop strategies to support favorable coverage, reimbursement, formulary placement, utilization management, and patient access within the pharmacy benefit.

Support account segmentation, account prioritization, and development of tailored engagement strategies for health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, IDNs, specialty pharmacies, and other key stakeholders.

Incorporate payer/account insights, competitive intelligence, and market research into brand strategy and tactical planning.

Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, HEOR, Market Access, Brand Marketing, Sales, Legal, Medical, and Regulatory teams to support successful launch execution.

Establish performance metrics and assess the effectiveness of payer/account marketing programs, materials, and initiatives.

Manage external agencies, vendors, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.

Your Qualifications:

BA/BS degree required. Advanced Degree/Masters in related healthcare field preferred.

Minimum 10 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry, and/or managed care industry, with a minimum of 3 years in marketing and sales.

Deep working knowledge of evolving US healthcare landscape, US Payer systems, evolving trends in health care including value-based purchasing, population health management, evidence-based medicine, and quality measures.

Product launch experience strongly desired.

Familiarity with current legal and regulatory landscape pertinent to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.

Must possess the ability to build consensus in a matrix environment with multiple functional groups supporting the brand team.

Ability to travel approximately 25-30%.

Your New Team:

You will join LEO Pharma's Market Access & Patient Services (MAPS) organization, playing a key role in the launch of Daylight, an innovative rare disease therapy. Working in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment, you will partner closely with colleagues across Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, Insights & Analytics, HEOR, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, and Finance to shape payer strategy and support successful launch execution.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $220,000-280,000per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
