Job summary

Saginaw ISD is seeking a Special Education Supervisor to lead district SPED programs, ensuring legal and policy compliance and high-quality services for students with disabilities. The role oversees staff, curriculum alignment, IEP implementation, and data reporting, partnering with district leadership to maximize student outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have Michigan SPED credentials, an administrator certificate, and proven supervision experience within special education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or related field with SPED focus.
• Valid Michigan Administrator Certificate or ability to complete within three years.
• Teacher certification with SPED endorsement and state approvals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Special Education Administrator for the district.
• Administer programs in compliance with federal/state mandates and ISD policies.
• Develop and review curriculum related to students with disabilities.
• Oversee IEPs, attendance, data reporting and PR/monitoring activities.
• Recruit, supervise, and evaluate SPED staff and paraeducators.
