Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking a lead special educator and curriculum leader for the secondary level. You will coordinate screenings, IEPs, testing, and transportation while providing professional development to staff in special education procedures and differentiated instruction.

The role requires knowledge of disability regulations, strong communication, and experience coordinating evaluations.

Competenze

• Knowledge of disability regulations and policies.
• Ability to design and assess instructional goals for SPED.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Experience coordinating IEPs, screenings and evaluations.
• Familiarity with student information systems and data entry.

Mansioni

• Coordinate screenings and eligibility meetings, IEP meetings, and transportation logistics.
• Provide professional development and support to SPED and general ed staff.
• Maintain compliance with SOLs and alternate assessments; administer testing.
• Develop master schedules and ensure resources align with student needs.
• Collaborate with Transition Coordinator to address college/career readiness.
• Perform duties as department chair as assigned and supervise staff as needed.
