True Anomaly is seeking a Principal Flight Software Engineer to act as the technical authority across the full spacecraft software stack. You will shape architecture, set standards, and drive flight software from concept to on-orbit operations.

You will own hard problems and raise the technical bar for the team. If you want to influence space-grade software decisions with real consequences, this is your role.

Qualifications

• Experience with embedded safety-critical software and space or aerospace programs.
• Strong background in low-level driver development and real-time systems.
• Proven ability to define and uphold engineering standards across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and technical direction of flight software for space missions.
• Lead design and development of robust embedded software with emphasis on maintainability.
• Integrate complex GNC algorithms with flight software for performance.
• Define CTDB architecture to support ground and on-orbit test operations.
• Enforce software engineering standards including coding practices and verification.
• Collaborate with ground C2 team to align interfaces and data flows.
• Architect HITL/SITL simulation environments for testing.
• Design reusable device driver and communications libraries across platforms.
• Participate as a key technical voice in design reviews and planning.
