Job summary

True Anomaly seeks a Staff Flight Software Engineer to lead software for autonomous spacecraft and space-based interceptors. You will engage in design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, and flight integration while working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

The role emphasizes low-level firmware, real-time systems, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable spaceflight software. Onsite work near Denver, CO or Long Beach, CA is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in low-level firmware architecture, design and development.
• Experience with embedded RTOS such as RTLinux or Azure RTOS.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS422/RS485 and related protocols.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the software development cycle for flight computers used in space missions.
• Integrate GNC algorithms with flight software.
• Define and maintain the Command Telemetry Database (CDTB) for ground and on-orbit tests.
• Collaborate with ground C2 software teams and spacecraft sequencing efforts.
• Develop reusable drivers and protocol libraries for flight hardware.
