Job summary

Blue Canyon Technologies is seeking a Senior Test Engineer for its Lafayette, CO site to support test engineering tasks for spacecraft components and systems. You will develop procedures, review automated tests, design test fixtures, and execute tests using aerospace-standard methods.

The role requires leadership in test activities, data review, mentoring peers, and collaboration with remote team members. 7+ years in test engineering and strong hardware testing experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with hardware testing using scopes, meters and logic analyzers.
• Experience writing and executing manual and automated test procedures.
• Proficient in MATLAB, Ruby (COSMOS), and/or Python or similar.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Experience integrating and testing components and spacecraft systems.
• Strong engineering principles and practices.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Lead integration and test of components and spacecraft systems.
• Write, review, update, and implement test procedures.
• Execute, develop, modify, and review test scripts.
• Maintain test engineering logs and records.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule with possible night/weekend support.
• Foster relationships across departments for a productive work environment.
• Apply testing standards and methodologies to support complex testing.
• Prepare complex test plans, procedures, and reports to demonstrate requirements compliance.
• Read schematics and service manuals; follow test procedures and troubleshoot.
