Job summary

Sierra Space in Colorado is seeking a Test Technician V to perform routine, advanced, and novel tests on spacecraft components and systems. You will serve as SME/Lead within a Work Center, mentor others, and collaborate with Test Engineers on configurations and procedures.

You will validate test setups, review data logs, and contribute to continuous improvements in testing processes. A Top Secret clearance is required and prior aerospace experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Typically 12+ years of related experience.
• Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
• Expert proficiency using basic test equipment, hand tools, electrical harnessing and mechanical fixturing.
• Ability to set up and validate special test equipment and perform advanced tests.
• Experience as SME/Lead Technician and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, advanced, and novel tests on spacecraft components, mechanisms, circuits, and systems as a key liaison between Technician and Engineering.
• Set up test configurations using tools, fixturing, instrumentation, and software.
• Assist Test Engineers with procedure development and work instructions.
• Document and verify test results against criteria and logs.
• Lead and mentor team members within the Work Center.
