Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager for Spacecraft Systems to lead cross-functional, end-to-end programs for the TeraWave initiative. You will coordinate thermal, propulsion, avionics, structures, GNC, EPS, electrical systems, and flight software teams from concept through production and operation.

This role demands leadership across multiple spacecraft disciplines, strong risk management, and a proven track record in managing complex aerospace programs within a matrix

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management for complex spacecraft or satellite systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with full lifecycle program management for spacecraft systems, from conception through deployment.
  • Strong understanding of spacecraft systems engineering principles and development methodologies.
  • Experience with risk management, resource planning, and schedule development for technical aerospace programs.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional spacecraft engineering teams in a complex, matrix organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end program management for TeraWave spacecraft systems, ensuring alignment with objectives and mission success.
  • Create and maintain program plans, schedules, and resource allocations across spacecraft disciplines.
  • Coordinate dependencies between subsystem teams to ensure synchronized development and integration.
  • Drive technical decisions for spacecraft architecture to optimize performance and manufacturability.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks using structured risk management for spacecraft systems.
  • Lead technical reviews and milestone assessments for spacecraft systems.
