Job summary

Blue Origin is advancing spaceflight by developing safe, reusable launch systems. This role focuses on design, analysis, and testing of structural components for New Glenn, supporting government and commercial customers while ensuring safety and quality throughout the life cycle of hardware.

You will own hardware from concept through manufacturing and test, collaborating with cross-functional teams; opportunity to grow into technical leadership on challenging aerospace projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum a B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience in structural design and analysis of aerospace vehicles or related structures.
• Strong CAD skills with Creo, CATIA V5, SolidWorks, or AutoDesk.
• Proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with metallic structures and composites; design for launch vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, development, and testing of primary and secondary structures.
• Execute research and trade studies to meet performance and cost targets.
• Create CAD models, drawings, assemblies, and interface documents.
• Develop test plans and hardware documentation for flight hardware.
• Lead tests, data reduction, and review results for quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and engage with manufacturing.
