Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to join the Space RF Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Team. You will lead traditional SE tasks across multiple projects, coordinate with external and internal organizations, and drive continuous improvement of SE capabilities.

Responsibilities include requirements capture, subsystem allocation, and test planning. Top Secret clearance and ITAR/EAR compliance are important; MS Office and Visio skills are standard, and MBSE tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of traditional systems engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of lifecycle processes, requirements management, and verification methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Capture and manage product requirements, and support standard SE activities for multiple projects.
• Collaborate with Program Manager, Chief Engineer, and RF team to understand customer needs and system requirements.
• Derive and allocate subsystem requirements with RF engineers.
• Support system test planning, verification, and validation efforts.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and interface documents (Word, Excel, Visio).
• Participate in formal technical reviews.
• Provide life cycle support for changes to product baselines for customers.
• Lead other Systems Engineers in SE task execution.
