Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Lead, Electrical Engineer – Power Hardware to join our Palm Bay, FL team. You will design and develop space-qualified power hardware for mission-critical applications, translating requirements into robust power architectures.

You will lead a team of power engineers, perform analysis and validation using lab instruments, and collaborate with manufacturing, systems engineering, and program leadership to deliver reliable hardware for space programs.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting high-level requirements and developing power architectures.
• Strong experience in electronic power design, including power devices, control loop theory, and thermal management.
• Knowledge of spacecraft power subsystems, batteries, and power distribution.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced power hardware for space-qualified systems.
• Validate designs with lab instruments and simulations across multiple verification stages.
• Collaborate with program leadership, manufacturing, and systems engineering to ensure reliable hardware.
• Translate customer requirements into detailed electrical specifications and power architectures.
