Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware to join our Palm Bay, FL team. You will lead the design and development of advanced digital and mixed-signal hardware for mission-critical space applications.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in digital architecture, circuit analysis, hardware verification, and cross-functional collaboration, with experience in high-reliability environments. This is an on-site role offering a dynamic engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 9+ years in electrical engineering or 7+ years with graduate degree.
• Experience designing and developing digital hardware systems.
• Experience with high-speed or dense processing hardware architectures.
• Experience with hardware integration, verification, and debugging.
• Experience in collaborative engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of advanced digital and mixed-signal hardware.
• Support all phases of hardware development from requirements to verification.
• Translate requirements into electrical specifications and power architectures.
• Design digital and mixed-signal circuit topologies (processors, FPGA, memory).
• Perform analysis on timing, thermal, signal and power integrity, EMI/EMC.
• Use lab instruments to validate designs and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support proposals.
