Job summary

True Anomaly, Inc. is seeking a Lead Ground Systems Engineer to own the systems engineering execution of a satellite command and control ground system program as part of the Mosaic portfolio.

You will define, analyze, and ensure successful implementation of mission requirements across C2, telemetry, and ground networks. The role leads RV&V activities, MBSE integration, and gate review execution, directing SE work and coordinating with government agencies and internal teams to ensure mission

Qualifications

• Staff level: 12+ years leading ground control systems through lifecycle.
• Principal level: 15+ years leading ground control systems through lifecycle.
• Experience leading or serving as the lead systems engineer for a ground system program.
• Familiarity with Type 1 encryption in space-to-ground systems.
• Experience with Antenna-as-a-Service (AaaS) solutions.
• Understanding TCPED lifecycle in ground control systems.
• Knowledge of C2 signal chain modulation/demodulation encoding/decoding.
• Experience with RMF and NIST SP 800-53 controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary systems engineering contact for the ground system program.
• Translate mission needs into actionable engineering solutions within constraints.
• Lead development of space-to-ground specifications and ICDs.
• Conduct system trades, performance evaluations, and feasibility studies.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers and enforce SE standards.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Develop system integration and verification plans and oversee testing.
