Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, and test advanced software for space systems from Centennial/Louisville, CO. You will lead architecture discussions, write scalable code in Python, C++, and Java, and guide junior engineers through reviews and unit tests.

This role requires a deep understanding of software engineering processes, secure coding practices, and the ability to deliver complex systems on schedule. A U.S. security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically 12+ years of related experience with multiple languages.
• Ability to design, architect, implement, and test complex software systems.
• Experience with Agile or Kanban/Scrum and secure coding practices.
