Job summary

Voyager Space in Houston, TX is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead design, testing, and integration of spaceflight avionics and electrical hardware. You will guide a team of engineers and ensure compliance with NASA and Voyager requirements.

Responsibilities include developing power systems, flight computers, sensors, and digital/analog circuits from schematic to fabrication, plus documenting procedures and leading technical reviews with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in electrical design and development for space applications.
• Experience designing, testing, and integrating space electrical systems.
• Proficient in PCB design including schematic/layout and fabrication files.
• Ability to lead technical reviews and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design & develop space-qualified electronics, including power systems and flight computers.
• Author documentation, test procedures, and interface requirements.
• Conduct electrical testing, qualification and acceptance testing of flight hardware.
• Review payload designs for compatibility with NASA & Voyager requirements.
• Support proposals and provide regular status updates to management.
