Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Houston, TX, seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to design, test, integrate spaceflight avionics and electrical hardware, and lead other electrical engineers. You will own PCB design end-to-end, author documentation, oversee qualification testing, support proposals, and drive cost and schedule estimates while ensuring NASA compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design & develop space-qualified electronics — including power systems, command and data handling, flight computers, sensors, and digital/analog circuits — encompassing full PCB design from schematic to fabrication files.
  • Author and maintain technical documentation including assembly instructions, test procedures, interface requirements, and test and analysis reports.
  • Conduct electrical testing and troubleshooting using standard test and measurement equipment; perform and oversee qualification and acceptance testing on safety-critical flight hardware.
  • Review payload designs and provide feedback to ensure compatibility and compliance with Voyager Space Exploration and NASA requirements.
  • Support program execution by contributing to proposal efforts, documenting technical approaches, and delivering regular status updates to Engineering and Program/Project management.
  • Maintain traceability controls for electrical components, systems, lab tools, and test equipment throughout the development lifecycle.
