Job summary

The Boeing Company in Seal Beach, CA seeks a Lead ConOps & Architecture Engineer to drive operational concepts for space missions. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop MBSE-supported architectures, and coordinate with customers and subject matter experts to converge on feasible, scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes onsite work, deep spacecraft systems knowledge, and driving iterative design throughout aggressive development timelines.

Qualifications

• Requires active U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• 3+ years leading or managing cross-functional or cross-organizational engineering/test teams.
• 3+ years of direct experience with Satellite Systems Engineering groups.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, systems integration, and/or software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support technology integration for first-of-kind space vehicles and missions.
• Develop and present review packages to internal and external senior leadership.
• Work proactively and independently in a fast-paced, demanding atmosphere.
• Lead and drive complex system trade studies to closure.
• Ensure proper system architecture to support mission objectives.
• Lead functional analysis and decomposition for mission activities.
• Coordinate with diverse stakeholders to resolve cross-segment issues.
• Utilize MBSE tools to capture the system architecture and operational concept.
