Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. in Montana is seeking a Lead Spa Technician to elevate guest experiences through professional massage and esthetic services.

You will maintain spa protocols, train licensed technicians, and support daily operations with a focus on exceptional service. The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited massage/esthetician program, licensed in Montana, with 1+ years’ experience and strong customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited massage/esthetician school.
• Must be licensed in Montana.
• Strongly prefer 1+ years’ experience as a licensed massage therapist/esthetician.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Strongly prefer management experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform massage/esthetician, body treatments and wellness services for guests.
• Maintain knowledge of all spa services, products and vendors.
• Develop treatment protocols and SOPs with management.
• Train licensed technicians on protocols and SOPs and ensure compliance.
• Assist in hiring processes for new technicians as needed.
• Comply with hotel and departmental policies and spa procedures.
• Prepare workstations and maintain cleanliness; restock as needed.
• Support departmental tasks outside treatment times.

What Success Looks Like:

Your Impact

• Perform body therapies to all guests including but not limited to services that fall within the massage/esthetician, body treatment, and wellness categories.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all spa services, treatments, products, and vendors.
• Partner with management to generate treatment protocols and SOPs for all massage/esthetician, body treatments and wellness services.
• Train all licensed technicians new and current on massage/esthetician, body treatments and wellness service protocols, SOPs, and ensure continued compliance throughout employment.
• Partner with management to interview and assist in hiring process of all new technicians, including receiving available practicum, as needed.
• Maintain complete knowledge and comply with hotel and departmental policies.
• Maintain complete knowledge and comply with spa protocols and procedures.
• Set up workstation with necessary supplies. Maintain cleanliness throughout shift. Breakdown, re-stock and clean all used workstations.
• Assist with overall departmental tasks and needs outside of treatment times during scheduled shifts.
• Escort guests to and from treatments.
• Contributes to a positive work environment that minimizes turnover and maximizes retention.
• Assist with team meetings and attend all regularly scheduled staff meetings/trainings
• Other duties that may be associated with spa/technician operations.

What You Bring

• A graduate of an accredited massage/esthetician school.
• Must be licensed in the state of Montana.
• Strongly prefer 1+ years’ experience as a licensed massage therapist/esthetician.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Strongly prefer management experience.
