Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, supervising culinary staff, and ensuring consistency, quality, and food safety during daily service. You will play a key role in menu execution, training, and maintaining high culinary standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in culinary management in upscale/fine dining
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience supervising back-of-house staff and inventories

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in a hands-on management style to ensure guest satisfaction
• Support Executive Chef in managing all back-of-house staff and ongoing training
• Help achieve budgeted labor and cost targets through planning and execution
• Oversee weekly/monthly inventories and ordering of food and supplies
• Maintain sanitation and OSHA-compliant work areas
