Job summary

Eurest USA is hiring immediately for a full-time Sous Chef at Eurest Dining Services Pratt & Whitney, Juniper, Florida 33478. The role supervises cooks and food-service staff and assists the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations.

The position requires 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food service, strong food-safety knowledge, and the ability to manage production schedules and inventory during peak hours. Competitive hourly pay ranges from $22 to $26.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food service.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and performance reviews.
• Stores food in designated areas following all safety procedures.
• Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils; keeps area clean during meal service.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and explains them to associates and customers.
• Keeps up with peak production and service hours.
• Monitors inventory and deliveries; informs supervisor when supplies are low.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
