Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Sous Chef for The Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center in Mobile, AL. The role supports the Executive Chef, directs culinary staff, and ensures high standards of food safety, quality, and presentation in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

The position pays an hourly rate of $26.00 - $28.00 and requires 2-3 years of professional culinary experience with supervisory exposure; a culinary degree is preferred and ServSafe certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary degree or formal culinary training preferred.
• 2-3 years of professional culinary experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Experience in high-volume, catering, hospitality, or entertainment environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with overall management of daily culinary operations.
• Supervise and develop culinary staff to maintain high standards.
• Lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
• Ensure menu execution, production planning, and consistent quality.
