Job summary

Sous Chef opportunity at American Dining Creations in Liverpool, NY. Support the Chef & Executive Chef in daily culinary services and ensure recipes and safety standards are followed, with opportunities to lead BOH staff and oversee catering events.

Compensation ranges from $23 to $25 per hour, with benefits including weekly pay and opportunities for growth within a nationally recognized dining and refreshment service provider.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; hospitality or culinary degree from an accredited association.
• Three years experience in a similar culinary leadership role in retail/hotels/business/education dining preferred.
• Experience planning and managing employee schedules, hiring, and staff development.
• Strong time management skills; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, catering, ordering and inventory systems.
• Knowledge of local and state food safety regulations.
• Able to lift to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and bend daily.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with all culinary points of service including food stations and catering events.
• Provide guidance and supervise BOH staff.
• Ensure recipe standards, ingredients, and food handling safety protocols are met.
• Keep kitchen clean and organized, maintain production records and equipment.
• May cover a shift or station during peak operation hours.
• Meet daily with Executive Chef or General Manager regarding operations.
• May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.
