Job summary

Four Seasons New Orleans is seeking a skilled Sommelier to lead wine service in our fine dining outlet. You will advise guests on selections, manage wine inventory, and curate a wine list that complements our seasonal menus.

You will train F&B staff, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure impeccable service standards, glassware, temperature, and presentation. Fluency in English and US work authorization are required, and a positive, guest-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Sommelier certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong food and beverage knowledge required.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for service and guest satisfaction.
• Willing to work flexible schedules including holidays.
• Fluency in English and US work authorization required.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert wine service and recommendations to guests.
• Advise guests on wine selections and supervise daily wine service.
• Maintain weekly/monthly wine inventories for the dining outlet.
• Assist servers with wine service and guest satisfaction checks.
• Curate a wine list aligned with the restaurant concept and seasonal menus.
• Train staff on wine knowledge, regions, and pairing principles.
• Coordinate with suppliers for exclusive selections and promotions.
