Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Solutions Design Engineer to grow our Supply Chain Solutions and Dedicated Transportation offerings. You will design and optimize logistics networks, validate assumptions, and deliver compelling proposals that win new business while ensuring a smooth startup transition.

We expect advanced data analysis, strong communication, and the ability to mentor a small team. Experience with Simio and tools like JDA, Llamasoft, OTM, and CAD is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
• Six (6) years or more in the Transportation industry
• Six (6) years or more in the Warehousing and/or Manufacturing industry
• Microsoft Office Suite skills with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledgeable of visualization (Tableau, Microsoft) and database programming intermediate preferred
• Simio experience REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Support the bid submission process by reviewing RFP documents, develop questions and initial hypotheses
• Develop optimizations scenarios and strategies aligned with objectives
• Lead consulting projects involving understanding customers' pain-points and presenting solutions
• Implement follow-up to validate and modify deployed processes
