Location: Merrimack, NH; Smithfield, RI; and Jersey City, NJ.

The Role

The Solution Architect will play a hands-on role in driving the overall technical architecture and will be responsible for end-to-end solution architecture within Institutional Technology, focusing on modernization initiatives. They will collaborate with vendors and Business/Product Sponsors to drive and deliver Fidelity Institutional Technology's digital modernization initiatives.

The Expertise And Skills You Bring

• 10+ years of experience in architecture, analytics, design, and development of enterprise solutions across multiple platforms, frameworks, and languages.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership, prepare design artifacts, and implement solutions for agile teams, driving end-to-end solutions architecture design and ownership.
• Experience engaging with multiple squads to deliver architecture artifacts, resolve issues, and develop product roadmaps.
• Ability to analyze business direction, understand long-term vision, and evaluate risks and benefits of technical solutions. Collaborate with product owners and squads on technology evaluation, selection, and configuration.
• Strong relationship-building skills with product owners, architects, and technical leads; ability to partner with peer architects to improve processes and customer experience.
• Extensive knowledge of APIs, UIs, infrastructure, data architecture, security, and emerging technologies.
• Deep understanding of agile development and DevOps practices.
• Software development expertise in client-side technologies (Angular/React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS) and backend technologies (Java, Java EE/Jakarta EE, Spring Framework/Spring Boot).
• Expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) with cloud certification preferred.
• Experience developing microservices-based systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across organizational levels.
• Passion for technology, with a flexible approach to languages and frameworks.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills, with the ability to influence.
