Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group in Milford, CT is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial and municipal solar projects from contract execution to completion. You will coordinate schedules, budgets, procurement, and field teams across Connecticut while maintaining strong client communications.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in commercial construction or solar, deep knowledge of NEC, and proven ability to manage multiple sites, subcontractors, and utility interconnections

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, electrical construction, or utility-scale solar.
• Strong budgeting and cost control experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial and municipal solar projects (rooftop, ground mount, carport, and portfolio-based) across CT.
• Lead kickoff meetings and establish clear execution plans.
• Develop and maintain project schedules (critical path, long lead items, utility coordination timelines).
• Manage procurement of major equipment (modules, inverters, switchgear, transformers, BOS materials).
• Coordinate with utilities for interconnection, witness testing, and approvals.
• Track project budgets and monitor costs to ensure margin targets are met.
• Review and manage subcontracts and vendor agreements.
• Submit and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering and field teams to ensure design intent is executed correctly.
• Oversee permitting and inspection processes.
• Manage project billing milestones and support O&M transition at project completion.
• Maintain organized project documentation and reporting.
• Identify and mitigate risks early in the project lifecycle.
