Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a Lead Software Engineer (Test & Verification) in Oklahoma City, OK to lead test engineering and verification for the B-52J CERP project. You will design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software across the lifecycle, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, automated test development, and on-site work, with eligibility for U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related field.
• 9+ years in requirements, test development, or verification testing.
• Experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada.

Responsibilities

• Leads the design, development, and completion of test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality.
• Partners with stakeholders and leads the review and identification of software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability.
• Leads the design of test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications.
• Advises on the setup and configuration of test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments.
• Leads executing test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes.
• Advises on test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities.
• Leads creating, documenting, and maintaining test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards.
• Leads developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
• Leads software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams.
