Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory is seeking a Mid-Level Software Test Engineer to join an embedded program with a government sponsor. You will design, develop, and execute software test plans, ensuring thorough verification of hardware and software against requirements.

You will lead test strategies, coordinate with Government and partners, and advance automated testing while mentoring staff and stakeholders. Clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in STEM or 5+ years of related experience.
• 5+ years as a software test engineer or test automation engineer; other engineering roles accepted.
• Proficient with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.
• DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for verification and validation of hardware and software systems.
• Review test strategies, plans, procedures, and results to confirm requirements are verified.
• Develop and improve system, integration, regression, and acceptance tests, including automation.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test artifacts, defects, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate test activities with Government stakeholders and contractors minimizes risk and ensures readiness.
• Mentor engineers and technicians supporting test and IV&V activities.
