Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle, WA is hiring a Software Development Manager III to lead the Alexa Shopping Post Purchase Customer Experience team. You will guide a team responsible for faster, smarter package tracking and proactive delivery notifications across Alexa endpoints and channels.

You will partner with product, applied science, and engineering partners to ship cohesive solutions, define architecture for low-latency services, and improve customer experience at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting distributed systems.
• 8+ years leading multi-tier web services development.
• Experience partnering with product/program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a software development team, setting technical direction and establishing team structure to deliver on a multi-year roadmap.
• Define and drive the architecture for distributed, low-latency services at massive scale powering real-time tracking and proactive notifications.
• Partner with product management, applied science, and peer engineering teams to prioritize features and ship cohesive solutions.
• Establish operational metrics and quality mechanisms to measure customer experience, system health, and delivery velocity.
• Coach and develop engineers across multiple levels, building an inclusive team culture.
