Job summary

Amazon in Seattle is seeking a senior program manager to lead cross‑functional technical programs within the Alexa Shopping organization. You will define, own and drive initiatives that span multiple engineering teams and boundaries, coordinating with product management and leadership to align roadmaps and accelerate delivery.

This role requires deep hands‑on software development and PM experience, a proven ability to influence senior teams, and a commitment to building scalable processes.

Key job responsibilities

• You will define, own and drive technical programs that span multiple engineering/science teams and organizational boundaries.
• You will partner with product management and technical leadership to identify shopping opportunities, identify new areas of investment, and work to align other group's engineering roadmaps to deliver on these opportunities and optimize delivery outcomes.
• As a technical leader, you will influence strategy and outcomes across different Amazon Shopping organizations.
• You will develop detailed project plans, track progress against milestones, and provide regular status updates to leadership and cross-functional teams.

This role is inherently cross-functional and requires a strong ability to communicate, influence and earn the trust of software engineers, technical and business leadership.

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 3+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
